The second volume of the adventures of Sarah Dearly was in my library since its release. I was hoping to read it quickly, but between one thing and another, I had to postpone my reading to date. I had a great time to regain a bit of my girlfriends favorite bed (I miss it more than the Mac this month with the second volume of his adventures Dublin and I would all do).
I loved rediscovering the sacred sense of humor that keeps it dear Sarah even in the most dangerous situations. I smiled a lot and at times I even laughed. This was to see because my little sister asked me what could make me smile so much. The second is the height of the first even though he is much better. I immediately hooked because the story begins strong. From the outset, we find the high quality of Sarah for getting into trouble. And this is just the beginning! The ending is absolutely divine. It made me want to continue the series when I was a bit skeptical about the third book in that there was a change of narrator.
However, what I really liked about this book is the mood it conveys. It is much darker than the first volume. Several threats seem to hover on Sarah and her friends. Thierry seems more mysterious and dark. I did not know if I still had to trust him or not. I guess our lovely narrator should ask themselves the same questions. It becomes a bit more mature in this volume. It is not as superficial (except when his apartment exploded but we forgive him, it should not be easy). Moreover, it seems surrounded by lies, betrayals, ...
From the perspective of the characters, I am much attached to Sarah. For male characters, Quinn really my preference. Already in the first volume is the one I liked and this second volume has just confirmed. I think it is best to Sarah. I really hated that Thierry did not really deserve it. Indeed, I find it does not pay enough attention to it. I was even shocked when Sarah's apartment blew it offered him not to come live with him. Janie and I have much I can not wait to learn more about her.
Finally, I think I'll run go buy the third book to find Janie and Quinn this time. I love this series. It's fresh, light and really funny.
