Since Liliebook announced its release, I literally stamped with impatience to read. The series The Vampire Manhattan is truly the one I prefer. I find not only original because of the vampire mythology developed but also for the fact that romantic relationships between characters are not naive. Furthermore, coverage is sublime with this deep red. The photography is very good too.
Bloody Valentine includes three "new" about the loves of various characters in the series. I put the word new in quotes because they are too short to qualify as novel, but too long to whether they are new, as each is divided into six to eight chapters. The first question that comes to mind of the reader and I think is important is: is it necessary to have read all the books? My answer is yes because the three stories, two take place during the last book came out, 's secret angel. The second question is: is it advisable to read? Otherwise said, he brings something to the show? I would say yes and no. Yes, because it confirms some suspicions I have had from reading Secret angel. I think especially in the case of Oliver. Not to the extent that it is really a novel for the curious and those who love this series.
The first news was the main character, Oliver after the departure of Theodora with Jack. The collection, it is not my favorite. As mentioned earlier, she had just confirmed a suspicion (and I was right!). The author describes rather well the feelings without falling into pathos. I enjoyed visiting the house of blood. The second story talks about Allegra Van Alen and the man supposed to be the father of Theodora. I totally adored the extent that we learn more about this mysterious character that is Allegra. I wish, however, it is slightly more developed. The third news is my second favorite. It is perhaps a little more romantic than the others but also with a little more action. It is really not bad.
I close this book totally delighted to be able to find, even for a few pages, Vampires Manhattan. I eagerly await the next volume.
